First of all, this is (of course) a film for people who want to laugh (mainly at others screwing up). Especially Jim (Jason Biggs) seems to get himself in the most embarrassing situations over and over again. But there are other funny moments too, with the Stifmeister (Sean William Scott), Ozzy (Chris Klein), Kev (Thomas Ian Nicholas) and Finchy (Eddie Kaye Thomas). Mainly the film is about what moves people my age and any other age most, the opposite sex. All that obsessing and wondering about the other (does he / she like me, do I love him / her?) is really greatly portrayed and realistic. Of course the people in the film are all not too shabby looking and there are some sick and perverted moments in the film, but you really have to look at the bigger picture. You have to look past the babes, the booze and the parties.

You have to look past that ‘every guy's perfect summer' and see that this film is not about sex, it is not about being sexy and cool. This film is about being whoever you are, being true to yourself and your friends, but most of all it is about love. I mean the latter thing may not be true for all characters in the film (e.g. Steve Stifler), but it sure concerns the ‘main characters' life (Jimbo's life). The rest of the film is however pure fun and freedom, that any college student hopes to get. I sure hope my first summer of being in college will rock like that.

Can't wait to see the sequel. And again, I do not think I have to force someone to make a sequel.

Jim, Oz, Finch and Kevin are four friends who make a pact that before they graduate they will all lose their virginity. The hard job now is how to reach that goal by prom night. Whilst Oz begins singing to grab attention and Kevin tries to persuade his girlfriend, Finch tries any easy route of spreading rumors and Jim fails miserably. Whether it is being caught on top of a pie or on the Internet, Jim always ends up with his trusty sex advice from his father.

Pie

Slovarj perenosnih znachenij slov. Will they achieve their goal of getting laid by prom night? Or will they learn something much different? Alternate Versions Some versions shown by Sky Television in the UK contain different and extra scenes including: • The scene in which Oz turns up for the Music Recital, there is a scene which is changed, where Albert asks 'D-Does this mean I'm not gonna get to do the duet?' And a choir buddy says 'Albert you suck'. Then they cut to a long shot of Oz and Heather kissing. In other versions Oz says 'Albert, you suck.'

And it cuts straight to the next scene. • Stifler mentions to the Lacrosse team after Oz has run off, 'Guys, I don't think he's coming back.' , in other versions this scene is cut completely. • Extra shots when Oz runs from the Lacrosse game, and asks a person for directions. • After Vicky telling Kevin that she wants to have sex, extra scenes are included, including Vicky dancing in the mirror and Kevin looking in the mirror while putting condoms in his jacket pocket. If you are a person easily offended by a film dedicated primarily to the glory of teen sex, you may well view 'American Pie' as yet another in a long line of cinematic harbingers of the collapse of western civilization.

If, however, you remember adolescence as essentially a period of unending coitus interruptus, you may well find yourself engrossed by this amusing, though admittedly crude, series of sexual and scatalogical gags woven around a plot involving the desperate attempts of a quartet of last semester seniors to lose their virginity on the fast approaching sexual armageddon known as 'prom night.' 'American Pie' gleans most of its comic energy from its outrageous examination of the crazy and innovative extremes desperately horny teens will go to in order to experience the thrill of sex in lieu of the real thing. An attractive, game cast helps to mitigate the crudity of many of their actions and the filmmakers' lighthearted tone encompasses the characters in such a cloak of affection that the audience identifies with, rather than condemns, their antics. As meager compensation for the moralists among us, the film does heavily promote the use of condoms and comes up with even more creative prophylactics for those times when a partner is not available. 'American Pie' is certainly not for every taste and there are those who would argue that it serves a less than salutary purpose as a guide for already sex-obsessed teenagers. Be that as it may, the film provides a fair number of hearty chuckles for those of us who can find humor in a group of backward youngsters experiencing the frustration and desperation we have all, at one time, experienced. I do have one troubling question though: why do none of these characters, whenever they are involved in a potentially compromising position, ever lock a door?
